LSB: What’s going on here? Used to be Democrats fucked individuals and Republicans fucked ‘The People.’ Seems with every passing day before this election there is another story of Republican sex scandal. Surely this can’t be so one-sided… so when will the Democratic sex scandals begin?
DailyKos:
Jerry Weller (R-IL), wingnut extraordinaire, has been rumored to be the congressman who Dana Milbank was referring to on the Keith Olbermann show on Tuesday night who has been linked into the ongoing scandal, this time allegedly with a 16 year old female page. The Wonkette also fingers Weller as the heterosexual page-chaser that Tucker Carlson was referring to a couple weeks ago, but The Capitol Fax Blog says it isn't true. Let's hope something breaks here - one way or the other - before the election.Las Vegas Sun:
Nevada gubernatorial candidate Jim Gibbons (R) was accused of assaulting a single mother after a night of "convorting" (sic) and drinking, the Las Vegas Sun reports.
Chrissy Mazzeo "made three calls to 911 in which she told operators she had been assaulted" and that Gibbons "grabbed her arms and tried to force himself on her late Friday in a parking garage near a restaurant where she had been drinking with a friend, the congressman and his top adviser."
"Mazzeo dropped the complaint the next day and told police she did not want to start a media circus."
UPDATE: Congresswoman on Page Board buried file on husband's child abuse allegation.
In 1995, just three days into her tenure as then Secretary of the New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department, current Congresswoman Heather Wilson (R-NM) removed a routine working file alleging that her husband had engaged in inappropriate contact with a minor. More than ten years later, RAW STORY has uncovered and confirmed the authenticity of the police incident report believed to be contained in the missing dossier. Filed as a case of child abuse in 1993, it contends that Congresswoman Wilson's husband Jay Hone, an Albuquerque attorney, touched a then-16 year old boy "in a manner that was not welcome." The Congresswoman ultimately admitted to ordering the removal of the document.
