Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council (FRC) appeared on CNN yesterday to talk about the Foley scandal and said: "…when you hold up tolerance and diversity, this is what you end up getting."
Apparently the FRC is going with Newt Gingrich's formulation: ‘Poor Denny was afraid of being called a gay basher so he didn't say anything.’
Q: Since when have the Repubs shied away from gay bashing? Has Newt been asleep at the wheel since leaving Congress? Gay bashing has become a Repub sport!
Clearly this is wingnut spin for ‘Let’s Blame the Gays,’ so let me say this as simply as I know how: gay men are attracted to other men; child predators (gay and straight, male and female) are attracted to children. Period.
