Gay New Jersey Pastors Want Right to Marry

A New Jersey Supreme Court ruling could make the state the second to legalize marriage rights for gay and lesbian couples.

Dennis Winslow and Mark Lewis are Episcopal Priests who are fighting the State of New Jersey – and their own church – for recognition of marriage rights for the couple. Winslow has ministered to President George H.W. Bush as well as the current president's two daughters.

Church leaders have appealed to the Episcopal Convention to not bless same-sex unions. Conservative pastors say the Bible prohibits gay marriage. Pastors Winslow and Lewis believe that the bible has been misinterpreted by those seeking to continue the status quo.
